Tras una temporada 2025 récord, habiendo asegurado ya su quinto campeonato consecutivo de Constructores y con tres de sus tripulaciones aún luchando por los títulos de pilotos y copilotos, el equipo volverá a apuntar alto en todos los frentes el próximo año, alineando cinco GR Yaris Rally1 en la mayoría de los eventos. Solberg, de 24 años, y su copiloto Elliott Edmondson reciben la oportunidad de ascender a la categoría Rally1 después de obtener el título del WRC2 este año con el GR Yaris Rally2 y de lograr una victoria absoluta sensacional en su debut con TGR-WRT en el Rally de Estonia en julio.

El ascenso de Solberg sigue el mismo camino que el de Pajari, campeón del WRC2 2024, quien iniciará 2026 con un año completo de experiencia en el más alto nivel y mostrando actuaciones prometedoras junto a su copiloto Marko Salminen, incluyendo su primer podio en el Rally de Japón.

Katsuta, el primer graduado del Programa TOYOTA GAZOO Racing WRC Challenge, buscará continuar su progreso la próxima temporada tras lograr sus mejores resultados hasta la fecha en 2025, con dos segundos puestos en Suecia y Finlandia junto a su copiloto Aaron Johnston.

El equipo también contará con pilotos experimentados y ganadores probados para liderar la pelea por los títulos del campeonato. Evans afrontará su séptima temporada completa consecutiva con el equipo después de una de sus campañas más sólidas y consistentes, donde él y su copiloto Scott Martin lideran actualmente la lucha por el título con solo un rally por disputar.

Tras ampliar su número total de victorias con múltiples triunfos en 2025 y luchar por su novena corona de pilotos, Sébastien Ogier volverá a iniciar un programa parcial en el Rallye Monte-Carlo, la apertura de la temporada en enero, el cual incluirá más de la mitad de las pruebas del año, acompañado por su copiloto Vincent Landais.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing adds more proven young talent to WRC line-up for 2026

After a record-breaking 2025 season, having already secured a fifth consecutive manufacturers' championship and with three of its crews still fighting for the drivers' and co-drivers' titles, the team will aim high on all fronts again next year, fielding five GR Yaris Rally1 cars on the majority of events. Solberg, 24, and co-driver Elliott Edmondson are handed the opportunity to move up to Rally1 machinery after securing this year's WRC2 title at the wheel of the GR Yaris Rally2 car and claiming a stunning overall win on their debut with TGR-WRT at Rally Estonia in July.

The promotion of Solberg follows that of Pajari, the 2024 WRC2 champion, who will enter 2026 having gained a full year of experience at the highest level under his belt and put in promising performances along the way alongside co-driver Marko Salminen, including a maiden podium at Rally Japan. 

Katsuta, the first graduate of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing WRC Challenge Program, will look to continue his growth next season after producing his strongest performances to-date in 2025 in Sweden and Finland, finishing second on both occasions with his co-driver Aaron Johnston. 

The team can also count on experienced and proven winners to lead its chase for the championship titles. Evans will go into his seventh successive full season with the team after one of his strongest and most consistent seasons to-date, where he and co-driver Scott Martin currently lead the fight for the title with one rally remaining. 

After expanding his career win tally with multiple victories in 2025 and fighting for a ninth drivers' crown, Sébastien Ogier will once more commence a partial programme at January's season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo that will include more than half of the season's rounds along with co-driver Vincent Landais.
